Carey, who is almost 5'10" tall, was once a leading American models for fashion. Top designers including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren liked her. Her father was a renowned geologist and named Scientist of 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey went to all over the world because of her father's work. After she graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began modeling on the side. This caught the eye of a Ford Model Agency New York. She lived in France for a short time, including Paris and Bordeaux. After that, she came back to New York for her college studies and to further develop her modeling career. As she modeled, she continued to study in full-time a major in literature within New York University. In the following years, she developed an interest in acting. She attended the Neighborhood Playhouse New York. In 1986 she made her first appearance as an actor with a small role on the show "Club Paradise" alongside Robin Williams. She enjoys skiing, wind surfing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water river rafting.
