Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in performing arts (now known as Maureen O'Hara), would be considered, in America's eyes, into the category of child prodigy. The traits she displayed were normal to a person born in Ireland. by talented parents and a loving family. Maureen joined this wonderful refuge within Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th 1920. Marguerita Lilburn FitzSimons was her mother. She was a accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer club in Ireland, and also ran the Shamrock Rovers soccer club and a Dublin business. Maureen FitzSimons was the daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons complete this wonderful family. Maureen was an athlete at heart and was a fan of tough athletic games. Her talent for performing was the perfect match for her interest in athletics. It was evident by her winning pretty much every Feis awards for drama and the stage that her country had to offer. When she turned 14, she was accepted by the Abbey Theater accepted her and let her live her dreams of classical theater as well as singing opera.
